Ireland secure a Triple Crown win as Scotland fall short

Ireland and Scotland went head to head in the opening 20 minutes trading scores for the opening eight minutes followed by finishing the quarter with a high paced game.

Ireland dug in and spoiled the breakdown for Scotland slowing down the fast ball they thrive on as Beirne, Doris and the rest of the pack were getting through mountains of work.

The second half continued with Scotland errors and innacuracy plus the Irish pressure and the hosts made things count to try build a decent lead. Scotland stayed in the contest but were unable to keep Ireland out each time they scored points.
