Crusaders crowned 2025 Super Rugby Pacific Champions

The Crusaders secured their 13th Super Rugby title with a 16-12 victory over the Chiefs in the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific Grand Final at Apollo Projects Stadium in Christchurch on Saturday.

Crusaders flyhalf Rivez Reihana earned Man-of-the-Match honours after kicking three penalty goals and a conversion to lead the home side to victory in front of a sold out crowd of 16,283.

The triumph extends the Crusaders' undefeated streak in home Finals fixtures to a remarkable 32 games and caps off a stunning turnaround from 2024, when they finished 9th on the competition ladder.

"The Crusaders truly epitomise what it is to be a champion team and they are worthy winners of our competition in 2025," Super Rugby Pacific CEO Jack Mesley said.

"We extend our congratulations to Rob Penney, his players and staff for capping off an outstanding season with victory in the Grand Final."

Meanwhile the Chiefs and their departing head coach Clayton McMillan have been left to reflect on a third-straight Grand Final defeat.

The Crusaders will keep the celebrations going with a fan event planned for 4pm NZST Monday in the Christchurch CBD.
